Depuis quelques années, les Chantiers de l’Atlantique à Saint-Nazaire ont mis en place une nouvelle organisation du travail afin de baisser les coûts de production. Le principe est de faire massivement appel à la sous-traitance et à l’intérim. Parallèlement à la construction du plus grand paquebot du monde, le Queen Mary 2, les salariés des Chantiers nous racontent comment ils vivent cette précarité organisée.
Quelles conséquences cette réorganisation induit-elle au niveau individuel et collectif ?
Quels changements implique-t-elle dans les conditions et les rapports au travail ?

The Chantiers de l'Atlantique is an Alstom Company department in Ships Building, located in Saint-Nazaire, Western France. For a few years now, the firm has undertaken to change the work organisation, in order to lower production costs. The stategy being to massively use interim workers and subcontracting companies. In this movie, workers tell us how they feel about this precarious work organisation, when, meanwhile, they are hired to build the Queen Mary 2, the biggest liner ever. What are the consequences for them, as individuals and as a group? What are the changes in work conditions and outlook?
